Challenge
Loire, which trades online as LoireLondon, sells sunscreens, face serums and creams in India. Dcrayon built its Shopify store at loirecosmetics.com and was also engaged for its Amazon account.
The engagement with Loire Cosmetics Limited began in January 2026 and covered website development and Amazon account management. The store's range centres on four SPF 50 sunscreens, a run of single-active serums (niacinamide, vitamin C with hyaluronic acid, kojic acid and snail mucin) and three creams: an all-in-one snail repair cream, a glass skin cream and a collagen jelly. Behind the face care sit collections for hair care, shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, intimate care and personal care.
Why four SPF 50 sunscreens needed telling apart
Four sunscreens with the same rating look alike in a product grid.
Loire sells an aqua sunscreen gel, a glow tinted sunscreen, a fluid sunscreen and a hybrid sunscreen, all rated SPF 50 and three of them PA++++. In thumbnails they are four similar tubes at prices between 650 and 999 rupees. A shopper has to be able to tell at a glance which one is the light gel and which one adds tint before they can choose.
Skincare buyers compare formulas, not just product names.
Many people buying serums and sunscreens want to know what is in them and at what strength. A product page that lists only a name and a price leaves that question to a separate search, possibly on a marketplace where a competing product sits one click away.
One catalogue spans face, hair and intimate care.
Shoppers rarely arrive with a product name in mind. They arrive with a concern: breakouts, tan, sensitivity, dull skin or hair fall. A store sorted only by product type makes them translate their problem into a category first.
Offers change faster than the theme should.
The brand runs a storewide discount, free gifts and coupons, and adds a prepaid discount at checkout. These change from week to week, so they had to be managed from apps and settings rather than built into the theme.
Solution
Loire's store on Dcrayon's client theme
The store runs on version 5 of the Shopify theme Dcrayon uses across client stores, with a "Created by" credit to Dcrayon in the footer. The home page is assembled from the theme's sections in a fixed order: an announcement bar for the current storewide offer, the header, a hero slider, a rich text block, a tabbed collections row, a scrolling text marquee and an image-and-text block from a section library app, two app blocks, a second rich text block, a gallery carousel of brand values, and the footer. An offer sidebar section holds the coupon drawer on every page. This is the Shopify development part of the engagement.
Product names and pages that state the formula
Each sunscreen's name carries its format and rating, for example "Glow Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ 50ml" or "Aqua Sunscreen Gel SPF 50 100ml", so the difference shows in the grid before anyone opens a page. The home page opens with a tabbed product row for sunscreens, best sellers, moisturisers and face serums, so the sunscreen range sits side by side.
Product pages follow one layout. Free-from badges (sulfate free, paraben free, suitable for all skin types) sit under the title, the price is shown tax-included, and a quantity stepper sits beside the add-to-cart button. Below, a details block lists the pack size, the skin type, the key benefits and the key ingredients with their strengths. The tinted sunscreen, for instance, lists 5 percent niacinamide, 2 percent sodium hyaluronate, a 1 percent ceramide complex and 1 percent ectoin. Gallery and description tabs keep long text out of the way, and a product recommendations row offers the serums and creams that pair with the product being viewed.
Collections for skin and hair concerns
Behind the menu, 21 collections group the range two ways. By type, there are sunscreens, face serums, moisturisers, face masks, face wash, shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, intimate care and personal care. By concern, there are acne and breakouts, dull or uneven skin, sensitive skin, tan removal and hair fall. The same product can therefore be found by what it is or by what it fixes, and a best sellers collection and a combo collection give shoppers two short routes into the range.
A cart drawer that carries gifts, coupons and prepaid savings
The cart opens as a side drawer built with Shiprocket's smart cart, which pairs with Shiprocket's checkout. The drawer lists the items, lets the shopper choose a free gift once the order qualifies, takes a coupon code, shows the prepaid discount and the discount on MRP as separate lines, offers an order note and a row of items the shopper may like, and then hands over to checkout. A timer-based upsell app adds urgency to time-limited offers, an affiliate programme app supports creator and partner promotions, and an Instagram reels feed and Judge.me review widgets sit on the store pages.
Loire's Amazon account in the same engagement
The same engagement covered Loire's Amazon account, so the brand's own store and its marketplace listings were handled by one team, with the website carrying the formula detail and the full range. You can read how that service works on our Amazon account management page.
Shopify's protections and the store's search signals
Shopify hosts the store and serves it through its content delivery network. The public headers checked on 13 October 2026 showed HTTPS with HSTS, X-Frame-Options set to DENY, a Content Security Policy that blocks framing and upgrades insecure requests, and X-Content-Type-Options set to nosniff. Payments are taken in the Shiprocket and Shopify checkout flow, outside the theme.
For search, the home page carries Organization and WebSite structured data, the code that tells search engines who runs the site, with a site search action. Product pages carry Product data with an Offer for price and availability. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are installed, so traffic and campaign activity can be measured from the store itself.
Loire storefront sections and apps

|---|---|
| Sunscreen by format | tinted sunscreen SPF 50; sunscreen gel SPF 50; hybrid sunscreen; fluid sunscreen PA++++ |

Results
What Loire shoppers see now
Shoppers can tell the four sunscreens apart from their names, read each product's actives and their strengths on the page, browse by skin or hair concern as well as by product type, and see their gift, coupon and prepaid saving in the cart before checkout. The brand team changes the storewide offer, gifts and coupons from Shopify apps and the theme editor without a theme edit, and runs its Amazon listings in the same engagement. Loire's sales figures are not published.

Key takeaways
Lessons from a small skincare range with close variants
Small skincare ranges often carry several close versions of one product, and sunscreens are the classic case. Putting the format and the rating in the product name does more for the shopper than any banner, because it is the first thing they read in a grid. Listing actives with their percentages on every product page answers the comparison question on the brand's own store instead of on a marketplace.
