Challenge
Cartense sells car key covers online in India. In early 2026 Dcrayon ran search engine optimisation, YouTube Shorts and influencer marketing for the brand.
Cartense's Shopify store carries 217 products for 18 car brands, organised by brand and key type, in metal-leather, metal-silicone, leather, TPU and zinc alloy. Its homepage and product titles name individual models such as the Swift, Baleno, Fortuner and Innova Crysta, because that is how the product is bought: by car model and key shape, not by the general phrase "key cover".
The engagement ran from February to April 2026 and combined three services in each period: search engine optimisation for the store, YouTube Shorts of 45 seconds each, and influencer marketing. In April 2026 Cartense enquired again, this time about SEO and YouTube Shorts specifically.
Why selling key covers online is a search and video problem
Shoppers search by car model, so every model is its own search.
Someone with a Hyundai smart key types the model and the key into search, not the name of a cover brand they have never heard of. Each model and key type is a separate query, and a store competes for each one separately. A catalogue of 217 products across 18 brands therefore faces hundreds of small, specific searches rather than a few broad ones.
A key cover is hard to judge from a still photo.
Buyers want to know whether the cover fits snugly, whether the buttons still press through it and how it looks on a real key in a real hand. A product photo cannot show a cover being fitted; a short vertical video can, in under a minute.
A young brand needs voices other than its own.
Cartense's current catalogue dates from February 2025. A new brand's own claims carry less weight than a car owner or creator showing the product on their own key, which is the case for influencer content alongside the brand's own videos.
Solution
Search themes across 18 car brands and their key shapes
The store's own structure shows the search themes a catalogue like this has to serve. Shoppers look for a cover for a specific model, for a specific key shape, for a material, or for the brand itself once they have heard of it. The table below groups those themes by intent, using the brands, key types and materials in Cartense's catalogue. For a fitment catalogue like this, e-commerce SEO means matching product and collection pages to model-by-model searches rather than chasing one broad term.
Shorts, creators and search working from one list
Each period of the engagement combined one SEO workstream for the store, a set of 45-second YouTube Shorts and a batch of influencer collaborations. The three channels answer the three problems above. Search optimisation is the channel for the model-by-model queries. The Shorts show what still photos cannot: a cover being fitted, the buttons being pressed and the finished look on a real key. Creator collaborations add the outside voice a newer brand needs.
Our video production and influencer marketing pages describe how we run this kind of work.

| Cover for a key shape | Flip key, remote key and push-start smart key covers by button count |

Key takeaways
What fitment brands can take from Cartense's mix
For fitment products, SEO and short video can start from the same list: every car model and key type the store sells. One list gives each model both a search page and a video, instead of video following trends while the site follows keywords, and it tells creators exactly which cars to feature.
Content engagements are also easier to judge when every item is logged: what was published, where and when, next to a keyword and traffic baseline. Our guides on Shopify SEO and how influencer marketing helps brands grow go deeper on each channel.
